Degree and area of specialization:
BA or BS required - preferably in Education, Business, English, Social Work, Communications or related field.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Prefer 6 months or more experience in a health care system, residency program or education setting with some program management experience preferred.
License or Certificate:
The Student Services Coordinator, as Assistant Education Coordinator, will participate in Resident Education Program training activities in the University of Wisconsin's School of Medicine and Public Health's Department of Family Medicine and Community Health in the Madison Family Medicine Residency Program. They will have responsibility for resident didactics management, residency program evaluation systems, rotation scheduling, and compliance activities. In addition, they will serve as a member of the Program Evaluation Committee and other ad hoc education committees. Because of the increasing complexity of ACGME compliance issues, this position must take into consideration the increased requirements for documentation of competency in various curricular areas, duty hours and fatigue training for all residents and faculty, and the more stringent requirements for residents' scholarly work in the performance of their duties.
The incumbent reports directly to the Residency Educational Coordinator and works collaboratively with faculty and residency education staff.
