Amazon Senior Business Ops Manager, EU Tax and Trade Compliance in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

In EU, we continue to observe an unprecedented wave of legislation that impacts Selling Partner (SP) experience, constrains selection and jeopardizes growth. This increases the complexity and cost of selling in EU and makes compliance the primary barrier to SP launches in the region.

As a Senior Program Manager in EU3P Compliance programs - you will define the strategy and execution plan to programmatically scale a high visibility and complex tax compliance program across EU and UK. You will influence cross VP organizations to (1) define the seller experience and engagement programs to increase compliance, (2) shape the risk appetite for executive leadership, and (3) design and implement the seller enforcement and regain strategy for EU and UK marketplaces.

The ideal candidate is motivated and agile, with strong project management skills. This opportunity requires excellent troubleshooting, stakeholder management and communication skills.

Key job responsibilities

  • The role will own managing end to end de-risking program executions starting with (1) identifying sellers in scope, (2) Assessing eligibility, and (3) Managing SX, appeals and value recovery chain.

  • This is highly cross functional role working across Finance, KYC, Seller Reg, VAT Operations, ISS, Fraud prevention, and Product teams with access to all levels of leadership (L4 to L10) as required for execution.

  • Own and measure seller experience and risk, and balance the two while moving fast to eliminate GMS loss for Amazon

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA is preferred.

  • Prior experience of managing large teams.

  • Experience in driving large, cross-functional programs, strong program and project management experience.

  • Proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to manage the business “by the numbers”. Must be metrics-driven.

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly

Preferred Qualifications

· MBA from a leading business school

· Prior experience working with technical products or online services

· Knowledge of SQL and VBA or willingness to learn

· Entrepreneurial spirit, with track record for delivering results in fast-moving and demanding environments

· History of developing business strategy in conjunction with senior leadership
