    Position description

The Department of Sociology at UCLA invites applications for part-time lecturers to teach lower division undergraduate courses during the 2024-2025 academic year.

Part-time positions may be available to include, but not limited to the following courses:

SOC M115: Environmental Sociology

SOC 121: Sociology of Religion

SOC 131: Careers in Sociology

SOC 132: Social Psychology: Sociological Approaches

SOC 134: Culture & Personality

SOC 145: Sociology of Deviant Behavior

SOC 147A: Sociology of Crime

SOC 156: Race & Ethnicity

SOC 158: Urban Sociology

SOC 171: Occupations and Professions

SOC 172: Entrepreneurship

SOC M174: Sociology of the Family

SOC M175: Sociology of Education

SOC M176: Sociology of Mass Communication

SOC 180A: Politics of Reproduction

SOC 182: Political Sociology

SOC 185: American Society

Submitted applications will be kept on file. A Ph.D. in Sociology or another social science, excellent teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
