As a Client Manager at Optum, you will be supporting our Provider Market Client Services Team. You will be responsible for consulting directly with clients, ensuring their overall satisfaction in the products and/or services they are utilizing while working to grow and identity areas for expansion.

If you live in Southern California, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages ongoing contract relationships and service delivery to clients for up to 30 accounts

  • Acts as outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center) and large or complex accounts

  • Builds relationships with Provider leadership and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day-to-day service delivery

  • Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a client management role OR 3+ years of experience working in healthcare operations, consulting, implementations or related role working directly with executive and/or C-suite leaders

  • Currently reside within 30 miles of Los Angeles, CA

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time across the Western United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a specific account management or client management role

  • 3+ years of experience working with senior level executives in the hospital/provider space

  • Experience working with executive leaders at large health systems/IDNs

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing client relationships especially with business owners, procurement, and executives

  • Proficient analytical skills with the ability to identify root cause analysis and drive outcomes based on data

California Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $155,000 annually. Role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
