    Position description

ASSISTANT PROJECT SCIENTIST position available in Department of Neurobiology at UCLA. Ph.D. in neurosciences and postdoctoral experience required in fields of biochemistry, neuroscience, and/or related field. Research involves the analysis of high dimensional neural activity in primary visual cortex obtained with two-photon imaging and/or neuropixel recordings. The goal is to apply geometric, topological and statistical methods to analyze how population of neurons represent and process visual information. This position requires a very strong computational background in computational neuroscience or related fields, as well as familiarity with Matlab, Python and Mathematica, machine learning methods and environments (e.g., PyTorch/TensorFlow).
