The SNC team is performing on a major multi-year contract developing next generation signals intelligence (SIGINT) and electronic warfare capabilities for the Department of Defense. Responsibilities:
Planning, developing, implementing, porting, and optimizing firmware for signal processing -Maintaining stable firmware
Maintaining version control
Gathering and analyzing requirements from stakeholders
Ensuring design changes are documented
Performing code reviews
Writing and maintaining firmware documentation
Testing firmware releases
Working closely with test team and stakeholders to verify, validate, and resolve issues
Providing technical support to the firmware development team
Must-haves:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Thorough understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
Basic understanding of digital circuit concepts
Extensive experience with FPGA HDL development, simulation and analysis, utilizing the VHDL language
Average to Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio)
Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Top Secret Security Clearance
Preferred:
Proficiency with simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis
Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL)
Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes
Understanding of Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) to include, Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI)
Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture
Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools
Experience with source code management systems
Experience with Linux Operating System and shell script development

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $159,430.15 - $219,216.46. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
