WHAT YOU WILL DO

We are seeking an experienced and motivated M365 Operations Administrator to join our IT team. As an M365 Operations Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting the Microsoft 365 environment, including SharePoint Online, Teams, Viva Engage, Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory and other cloud services. You will also provide technical support and guidance to end users, as well as collaborate with other IT professionals, Cross Functional Teams and Service Providers to ensure the security, reliability, and performance of the M365 platform.

To be successful in this role, you should have at least three years of experience in administering Microsoft 365 or similar cloud solutions, as well as a strong knowledge of PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and Azure AD Connect. You should also have excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, as well as a passion for learning new technologies and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor the M365 environment, ensuring availability, performance, security, and compliance.

  • Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices for M365 administration and governance.

  • Manage user accounts, licenses, groups, and permissions across the M365 platform.

  • Configure and support SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, workflows, and apps.

  • Manage and optimize OneDrive storage and synchronization.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot Office 365 services and connectivity issues, using tools like the Microsoft 365 admin center and PowerShell scripts to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.

  • Manage Exchange Online mail flow rules, connectors, and transport settings.

  • Monitor and maintain Exchange Online health, performance, and availability.

  • Implement and enforce Exchange Online security and compliance policies, such as retention, archiving, and eDiscovery.

  • Provide end-user support and training on Exchange Online features and functionalities.

  • Support and troubleshoot Teams collaboration, chat, meetings, and (eventually) telephony features.

  • Design, and plan M365 migrations (tenant-to-tenant) including test and remediation plans and work closely with teams and vendors to facilitate successful migrations and wide-scale overhaul while minimizing end-user disruption.

  • Respond to and resolve escalated technical issues related to Office 365 services. Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to troubleshoot complex problems and implement effective solutions.

  • Plan and execute migration projects from on-premises systems to Office 365. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and promote collaboration through Office 365 tools and integrations.

  • Manage and migrate Exchange online mailboxes, calendars, contacts, and distribution lists.

  • Integrate and support other M365 services and applications, such as Power Platform, Stream, Planner, Viva Engage, etc.

  • Provide end user support and training on M365 features and functionalities.

  • Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors on M365 related projects and initiatives.

  • Stay updated on M365 updates, changes, and new features.

  • Document and maintain M365 configuration, settings, and procedures.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in M365 administration, configuration, and support.

  • Strong knowledge of M365 architecture, components, and features.

  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation for M365 management.

  • Experience with M365 security and compliance tools, such as Azure AD, MFA, Conditional Access, DLP, eDiscovery, etc.

  • Experience with M365 migration and hybrid deployment scenarios.

  • Experience with SharePoint Online development and customization.

  • A certification in M365 or related technologies is preferred.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Teams Admin

  • Experience with Teams voice and video solutions, such as Direct Routing, Calling Plans, Phone System, etc.

  • Experience with Teams Conferencing room support
