20.00-23.00 per hour | Lewiston, ME, USA | Hourly | Clinical | Full Time

Spurwink is seeking a Family Support Partner to join our Children's Behavioral Health Home (BHH) team based out of our Lewiston office. This position will support families living across the Greater Lewiston area who have children with behavioral health needs. In this important role, you will provide individual support to parents and caregivers whose children are receiving services through our children's BHH care coordination/case management program. This position pays $20.00-$23.00 per hour depending on experience.

    DUTIES:

  • Provide individual support to parents whose children are involved with CBHH.

  • Support families in the assessment and service planning process by helping them articulate their strengths and culture.

  • Support families within Team Meetings, including preparation for meetings, attending meetings with family, and debriefing/follow up after the meetings.

  • Share personal experiences as appropriate and model strengths-based interactions.

  • Ensure that clients and families are aware of all community services and resources and assist families in accessing resources.

  • Support parents to carry out plan strategies.

  • Support children, youth, and families to develop natural and community supports.

  • Develop and effectively maintain internal staff and external community relationships.

  • Participate in service meetings, groups, and in the community to maximize parent involvement throughout the mental and physical health treatment process.

  • Serve as a "values speaker" within agencies and organizations to help all individuals view services through a family's perspective.

  • Maintain regular contact with team members and other community professionals involved with child.

  • Participate in individual & group supervision.

  • Know and comply with policies and procedures.

  • Maintain records and documentation as required by Spurwink or State Agencies.

  • Collect data as necessary to support performance measures.

  • Maintain a current Maine driver's license and a clean driving record as outlined in Spurwink's Driving Policy.

  • Maintain current licensure and/or certification as required for the position.

  • Participate in relevant trainings.

  • And, those other assignments appropriate to the position as determined by the Outpatient and Community Services Supervisor.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    HS diploma or GED required; some bachelor preferred. Must have effective oral and written communication skills. Must have experience with electronic databases, electronic communication, and personal computers. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Electronic Health Records preferred. Must be highly adaptive, organized and able to respond to disruptions while completing essential duties. Must show initiative and good problem-solving skills.
