Sunlighten Senior Installer - Custom Saunas in Lenexa, Kansas

Sunlighten is seeking a Senior Sauna Installation Specialist to join our growing installation team. This role involves nationwide travel to expertly install our cutting-edge infrared saunas and deliver top-tier on-site support to Sunlighten's clients. As a key member of our installation team, you'll assist with installation projects from conception to completion, overseeing both intricate custom saunas and standard cabin installations. Proficiency in technical operations, mechanical aptitude, and proficiency in construction are imperative for this role.

Beyond hands-on installation, you'll play a crucial role in managing installation coordination, shipping logistics, and installer travel arrangements. Client consultations and team leadership are also integral aspects of this position, requiring proactive problem-solving, exceptional organization, and effective team direction.

This leadership role entails significant travel, with up to 50% of your time spent on the road. Flexibility in scheduling, including irregular days and hours, is necessary to accommodate client timelines. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Installation, repair, maintenance and support of custom and traditional sauna cabins and their related equipment from start to finish

  • Work independently at our customer’s homes and in businesses as a trusted sauna installation expert

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of project management, including installation scheduling, team assignments, and ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards

  • Collaborate across departments to ensure delivery is on time to site to stay on schedule

  • Establish customer communication channels for installation/repair timelines

  • Take responsibility for direct communication with customers regarding project specifics, changes, or updates to ensure a transparent and trustworthy client relationship

  • Direct communication with customer for installation/repair timelines

  • Manage own company paid travel arrangements including airfare, ground transportation, hotel, meals, etc.

  • Oversee and manage all logistics related to team travel arrangements, including airfare, ground transportation, hotel bookings, meals, and any other necessities, ensuring trips are cost-effective and meet project schedules

  • Procure, maintain, and oversee the allocation of company-provided tools and equipment, ensuring all team members have the necessary resources to perform their duties to the best of their abilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in installation processes, team performance, and customer service

  • Act as a liaison between the installation team and the Customs Director, providing regular project updates, feedback, and recommendations for enhancing team effectiveness and customer satisfaction

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Customs Director

Requirements

  • Effectively self-manage travel plans, installation timeline, and communication with clients and Sunlighten team members

  • Operate a variety of standard hand-tools needed for installation

  • Represent Sunlighten professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and concerns

  • Ability to work irregular hours – evenings and some weekends

  • Carpentry experience and great understanding of woodworking and hand tools and ability to operate them safely

  • Multitasker that is goal and deadline orientated

  • Electrical knowledge is a plus
