Job Summary

The Senior Manager, International Tax is responsible for preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual international tax provisions while providing ASC 740 support for the non-U.S. entities. In working with various cross-functional leaders, they support tax planning projects and the execution of financial and operational business objectives. They are leaders with respect to various international items including, but not limited to, GILTI, FDII, subpart F, BEAT, cost allocations, business interest expense limitations, and foreign tax credit optimization for purposes of financial statement reporting, tax compliance, and tax modeling/forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Review and leadership of tax financial statement reporting under FIN 18 and ASC 740 including, but not limited to, effective tax rate reconciliations, deferred tax calculations, discrete items, certain reserves, valuation allowances, disclosures, foreign country assistance, and any other U.S. inclusions of foreign items

• Assist with the preparation and review of GILTI, FDII, subpart F, BEAT, cost allocations, business interest expense limitations, foreign tax credit optimization, among other items

• Provide oversight of the international compliance included in the U.S. income tax return (Forms 5471, 8858, Form 1118, etc.)

• Evaluate international tax planning opportunities and coordinate the implementation, execution, and related reporting (compliance and financial statement reporting)

• Lead the Canadian income tax compliance and quarterly/annual tax provisions

• Develop and mentor direct and indirect reports while working closely with all members of the tax department globally

• Provide support for domestic and international income tax inquiries and audits

• Review the quarterly/annual international tax provisions provided by the foreign locations

• Identify and implement process improvements which improve the efficiencies of various tax work streams

Qualifications

4-year college degree with MST or CPA required

• 8+ years’ experience in tax required with 5+ years’ experience in international tax required

• Supervisory experience required

• ASC 740 and FIN 18 experience required

• OneSource tax provision software experience preferred

• Corptax tax compliance software experience is a plus

• Strong Excel background with modeling and forecasting experience

• Excellent decision-making skills and a proactive problem solver with solid troubleshooting skills

• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment while navigating changes effectively and efficiently

• Results oriented with strong multi-tasking skills for driving both daily results and establishing long term plans/goals

• Effective people leader with proven management and excellent communication skills
