What you need: High School Diploma or equivalency, along with two years of higher education or an equivalent combination of higher education and/or work experience as a childcare teacher in a licensed childcare center. **If higher education is not in child development, course work will be required within 3 months of hire to include:**\"Introduction to the Child Care Profession\" \"Skills and Strategies of the Childcare Teacher.\" **If working with infants:** \"Fundamentals of Infant and Toddler Care\" course will also be required.
