Job Description

In this role, you'll play a crucial part in standardizing processes and equipment across our global production sites, ensuring consistency and efficiency in our operations worldwide.

Collaborating with teams from diverse cultural backgrounds and locations, you'll contribute to our global strategy of standardization and innovation.

No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Core Responsibilities

The Engineering Manager is among other responsible for running Global Technology related processes (standardization, continuous improvements, technology mapping). This is done through global technology team engagement including support of our R&D Platform engineers. The Engineering manager acts as a functional lead to Platform engineers. Therefore, this position requires not only management skills but also relevant technical background in order to navigate the technical team but also be responsible for taking necessary technology decisions given the mandate frame of this level.

This role is also “right hand” of the Platform owner, providing technical consultancy, managing some of the technical meetings etc.

Other responsibilities involve:

  • Drive projects according to LEGO Project Model (preparing and modifying project time plans, ensuring resource alignment, load, and allocation, securing project budget, approving project spending, etc.)

  • Dealing with suppliers, partners, and steering committees

  • Identifying process and project areas suitable for optimization which would make us stronger and more efficient

The purpose of Research & Development, Packing and Packaging organization (R&D P&P) is to support and implement Engineering & Quality (E&Q) business plan by ensuring all new products are assembled and packed into optimal packaging in efficient manner on standardized equipment platforms. R&D P&P generally ensures foundation for global production of LEGO® products by focusing on development projects, platform ownership and Capacity and capability planning.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Proven technical background in engineering

  • Business/project understanding

  • Solid experience in manufacturing

  • Proficient in effective communication alongside a proven track record in leading projects

  • Curiosity about modern technologies and innovative consumer trends

  • Microsoft Office bundle at advanced user level

  • Ability to read/understand technical drawings (AutoCAD, 3D models)

  • Determined, communicative and curious personality

  • University degree at business and/or technical university is preferred
