Lockheed Martin Software Engineer Manager in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania

This position is for a Software Engineering Manager in the Mission and Operations Analysis (MOA) group within the Systems, Integration, Architecture, and Analysis (SIAA) organization in E&T, primarily supporting the Forecast Simulator (FS) program in Mission Solutions. This role involves the following responsibilities:

• Functional manager of modeling and simulation software engineers supporting the FS program. This includes personnel management of approximately 20 software engineers to include performance assessments, career development guidance, program assignments, merit and salary actions, training plans, staffing, and recruiting

• Support to the FS Program Management Office to ensure successful program execution

• Execution of technical responsibilities such as software development and/or systems engineering

Typically has 9 - 15 years of professional experience post-baccalaureate. Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor or master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical areas

• Space ISR domain experience, especially GEOINT systems

• Experience working on an Agile software development team

• Strong Ability to Coach and Mentor software developers and other team members

• Current TS/SCI clearance

Desired Skills:

• Software development experience in C++

• Satellite Modeling/Simulation background especially with end-to-end solutions from a system-of-systems perspective

• Demonstrated experience with Agile leadership roles including Scrum Master, Product Owner, RTE, and so on.

• Knowledge of functional management responsibilities, including staffing, mentoring/coaching, motivating team, setting strategic goals/vision for team, reporting status to leadership, flowing information down to team, and ensuring adherence to corporate policies

• Experience with customer interactions, professionalism and initiative, ability to work autonomously, experience w/ small teams, and public speaking

• Experience with Forecast Simulator (FS) and Global Enterprise Model (GEM) tools

• Success establishing and cultivating effective customer relationships especially with DoD and IC customers

• Cost account management experience

• Business development experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
