What would I be doing?
Located just east of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub that offers something for everyone. Ameristar Kansas City has one of the largest casino floors in Missouri, amazing dining venues, a newly renovated luxury hotel and more. Ameristar also offers convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660 space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment center. Ameristar-Kansas City is seeking a Surveillance Agent to join the team. The successful candidate will protectthe assets of the company and assist in providing safety to our guests and team members in a 24/7 casino environment.

Responsibilities
Follow department and property policies and procedures.
Operates and maintains electronic surveillance equipment.
Observes and reports any and all gaming violations and/or thefts on property.
Conducts surveillance of areas, guests, and team members to safeguard the assets of the company.
Conducts investigations as directed by the manager of surveillance.
What are we looking for?
Required Knowledge and Skills
Must have excellent telecommunications and report writing skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Able to accurately type reports, use keypads, keyboards and mouse for long periods of time and operate mechanical controls.
Able to view monitors for extended periods of time and be able to discern color.
Able to react quickly and accurately under demanding high stress conditions.
Required Behaviors
Ability to work in a fast paced 24/7 Casino environment.
High level attention to detail.
Ability to be autonomous and very low profile.
Must be self-motivated, highly analytical, able to learn and retain data, recall issues, situations, names and faces.
Needs be comfortable in confined quarters for long periods of time.
Ability to work in a temperature controlled environment.
Required Education and Work Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft office programs, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Some Casino experience is preferred such as table games, slots, finance/cashier, or casino security but not required.
Prior Surveillance experience is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to obtain a gaming license per the Missouri Gaming Commission requirements.
May be required to work weekends and holidays
