Job Description
Job Title: Sewing Machine Operator II
Department: Production
Status: Non-Exempt
General Description\ This position is responsible for the sewing of products produced on the flatbed and circular knitting
machines.
Duties/Responsibilities\ Surges the trim in colored thread and inserts label on all socks
Cuts and sews compressogrip sleeves, shrinkers, humerals, ulnars, fractures
Apply bone rings and fold to compressogrip
Tack Torsos
Presew socks prior to processing
Casting pants and Cast socks
Cuts and sews knee sleeves
Scans WOs into the system
Performs quality control inspections
Provides general janitorial work throughout manufacturing area
Cuts split in pelvic socks
Hems Sterling products
Follows priorities and workorder due dates when completing initiatives
Actively participates in department quality meetings and Lean initiatives
All other duties as assigned, including helping in other departments as needed
Qualification Requirements\ No formal education required
6 Months to 1 year experience
Mental/Physical Demand\ Seeing general, color perception, hearing/listening, reading and writing-simple, clear speech-simple, memorization. Repetitive
motions, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, kneeling, bending, balancing, sitting, reaching, touching hand and
finger, flexibility upper and lower body. Works alone and with and around others. Verbal and face to face contact with others.
Temperature changes, noise, vibration, exposure to dirt and dust. Fatigue and boredom.
