As the Branch Manager of our Commercial Insurance Center , you are the local community leader, motivating and coaching your team to create a best-in-class experience for clients and driving the business forward with strategic planning and disciplined execution. Through your leadership, relationship building and collaboration, the goals, purpose, and vision for the branch are brought into focus and executed.

A day in the life –

People Leadership:

  • Drive talent management strategies through high employee engagement, effective recruiting, leadership development, and career planning.

  • Tap into people potential by commitment to personal and team growth.

  • Provide a positive work environment that attracts, retains and motivates talent and fosters a positive employee experience.

  • Identify and develop future leadership talent (Supervisors, Leads, Managers).

  • Coach, mentor, and motivate a team to deliver exceptional customer experience.

  • Assist with annual licensing and continuing education requirements for all staff, including account executives.

Business Development:

  • Execute on annual business plan in order to exceed targets and maximize every opportunity for growth, including new business and business retention.

  • Inspire your team to excellence in order to deliver a best-in-class client experience.

  • Actively participate in both the business and industry communities to build a network of contacts that improve the presence and reputation of the branch and organization.

  • Focus on driving value from the commercial relationships to our personal insurance services.

Operational:

  • Manage day to day operational aspects of the branch, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive operational efficiency and meet financial targets.

  • Ensure adherence to operational standards through use of HUB Best Practices and HUB Reporting tools.

  • Utilize most current centralized reference tools to help make decisions or follow appropriate commercial lines procedures.

  • Lead the implementation and operationalization of new service tools and processes.

What you will bring to our team –

Requirements

  • Proven track record of revenue growth and retention.

  • Thrives in a team orientated and dynamic environment.

  • Strong organizational skills allowing you to juggle multiple competing priorities on a daily basis.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to cultivate strong and productive interpersonal relationships both internally with your staff and externally with your clients.

  • Strong MS Suite knowledge: Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Bookings, PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years insurance brokerage experience.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a department or branch.

  • Level 2 General Insurance license.

  • Industry designation (CAIB, CIP, FCIP, CRM).

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Salary Expectations –

The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 -$100,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
