People * Customers * Trust We are seeking applicants for an Environmental/Yard Crew Supervisor in our International Falls, MN Paper Mill. The International Falls facility is a White Paper Mill owned by Packaging Corporation of America. Responsibilities: Operate the Mill's solid waste landfill including sampling analysis and report of all required parameters under the Mill's permit. Operate the Mill's landfill in a cost-effective manner. Prepare and submit all monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by the State. Manage the Mill's ongoing land application/public distribution program to minimize costs and maintain compliance. Assist the process engineers and environmental engineers in process studies as assigned. Supervising Yard crew employees- safety, directing work to be completed, time card, Monitoring waste streams, lime, sludge, Merlin's Pond etc. Fill in for the WWTP supervisor. Basic Qualifications: Supervisory experience 3-5 years industrial experience. Must be a self-starter and highly motivated. Must be team oriented and able to communicate effectively. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends. Preferred Qualifications: A working knowledge of environmental regulation. The Landfill manager will be licensed by the State. An understanding of solid waste operations and theory with a working knowledge of laboratory procedures and computer skills. Training through seminars in solid and hazardous waste and laboratory procedures. Working knowledge of all environmental programs: air, water, and waste treatment processes, regulations, hazardous waste and SPCC rules is essential. A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or related field is preferred. PCA provides a competitive comprehensive benefits package.
