Sr. Warranty Analyst

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process warranty claims on a timely basis, ensuring claim submission data adheres to corporate policies and procedures.

  • Answer channel partner questions related to warranty coverage, claims and system processing.

  • Process vocational model change forms on behalf of channel partners and ensure Allison’s business systems are up-to-date with the accurate model and registration information.

  • Register Extended Transmission Coverage (ETC) and prepare invoice for customer payment.

  • File and maintain all records and documentation in accordance with corporate retention policies.

  • Handle inbound calls during high call volume times to address end-user and channel partner questions and log technical assistance cases when appropriate.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Required:

  • Mechanically inclined and possess a basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.

  • Familiarity with automotive and commercial vehicle system and components, including transmissions, coolers, engines, drivelines, wiring harnesses, etc.

  • Analytical thinking/Problem solving

  • Experience working with CRM (Salesforce)

  • Warranty Processing experience

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, channel partners and other employees of the organization.

  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office

Preferred:

  • Previous call center experience in technical assistance

  • Product knowledge in one or more of the following Allison transmission models: 1000/2000/3000/4000 series, AED system, TC10, and 5000/6000/8000/9000 series

  • Working knowledge of the Allison Transmission Warranty System (4WARD)

Experience

  • 3 year proven experience in a customer service role within the automotive, industrial or heavy equipment industry.
