Maintenance Tech

Our Maintenance Technicians are key to our growth and are responsible for the maintenance and support of our chemical mixing and blending facility.
2nd shift team members receive a $1.75/hour shift premium.
Maintenance Technicians will be expected to:
Maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for essential equipment
Provide safe, high quality maintenance and repairs to equipment, buildings and grounds
Maintain repair parts and supplies for all equipment and buildings
Partner with plant management to identify and coordinate the implementation of new equipment
Troubleshoot and correct mechanical failures
Provide daily updates of work order status
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment; assist with landscaping and snow removal as needed
Exercise sound work practices to maintain personal and environmental safety
Be committed to continuous improvement by suggesting updates to processes and procedures for the department
Mandatory Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
Minimum of 5 years’ comparable maintenance experience or equivalent training (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
Willing and able to work 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
Thorough understanding of general maintenance practices
Capability to troubleshoot and correct equipment and/or process issues
Proficient in basic plumbing, electrical, planning and organizational skills
Ability to make sound decisions and exhibit strong interpersonal skills to work as an integral part of a team
Capable of reading and understanding written instructions and/or procedures and able to comprehend any regulations pertaining to our industry
Physical abilities include lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, bending, walking, standing, and climbing.
Ability to make decisions with multiple sources of input
Ability to drive a forklift
Non-Mandatory Qualifications:
Forklift/Tow Motor experience
1-3 years production and/or warehouse experience
Previous experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment
Basic knowledge of chemistry such that chemical reactions taking place in the production of products is understood
Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques
Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting and correcting mechanical failures (bearings, seals, belts, vacuum pumps, shafts, etc.)
