Responsibilities

• Develop strong data science and LLM based solutions along with data engineering pipelines to support rich Shopping experiences.

• Own complex features/user stories and deliver them with the highest quality exemplifying role model behaviors.

• Deliver trustworthy and differentiated experiences to Shopping users on Microsoft canvases by deriving insights from shopping patterns for exploration, selection, comparison and purchasing in buyer journey.

• Fundamentals: champion and set example in security, supportability, usability, performance, accessibility of the product.

• Evaluating product impact via controlled statistical experiments and iterating on technique to deliver maximum business impact

Qualifications

Required Qualifications  

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in CS/EE or related fields with knowledge in Machine Learning and Data Mining.

• 5+ years of professional Data Science experience.

• Strong knowledge and skills in machine learning software development and architectures for machine learning (with focus on deep learning)

• Excellent problem solving and data analysis skills

• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.

• Strong software design and development skills

Preferred Qualifications  

• Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving skills

• Good communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills.

• Passion for new technologies, learning and adapting quickly, end user quality and customer satisfaction. Prior experience in solving customer problems through Statistical Modeling, ML, Deep Learning and GenAI / LLMs.

• Programming or scripting experience leveraging industry standard ML and Data Science libraries in Python, C# etc.

• Strong expertise in Python programming and one/more of the Deep Learning frameworks (PyTorch, MXNet, TensorFlow, Keras).

• Ability to both use existing libraries (ML, DL, RL, NLP) and design algorithms ground-up.

• Able to prepare data pipelines and feature engineering pipelines to build robust models.

• Experience in building ML based off-line / on-line recommendation system is highly desirable.
