As an Engineering Manager,you will manage and lead a team of application developers and quality engineers throughproject initiation, execution, and deployment. You will provide guidance through their careerprogression. You will also be responsible for effective collaboration across technology teamscontributing to project success.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of increasing responsibility and successbuilding and leading technical teams. The position requires strategic thinking and planning toprovide leadership and expertise throughout the development lifecycle. The Manager will workwith a team of very savvy, highly motivated software engineers. We are looking for someonewith great leadership skills, a solid background using object oriented methodologies,exposure/expertise in agile development methodology and the ability to operate within shortrelease cycles. The selected candidate must be a hands-on leader, possessdevelopment/delivery expertise in an environment that involves diverse on-prem and cloudapplications and integration technologies.
Required Skills/Experience● 10+ years software development experience with a distinguished track record ontechnically demanding projects, with at least 3 years of management experience● 4+ years of experience programming with Java/Apex/.Net, or demonstrate fundamentalunderstand of their concepts● Strong understanding of MVC concepts● Strong understanding of Object Oriented development/design● Demonstrated thought leadership around cutting edge technologies - social and mobile● Expertise in Agile development and methodologies● Establish credibility with smart engineers quickly.● Ability to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results● Strong verbal and written communication skills, impeccable organizational and timemanagement skills● Ability to take ownership of project delivery and multi-task on multiple projects/featuredevelopment● Experience in short release cycles, the full software lifecycle, and have worked on aproduct that was actually released for public consumption
● Experience in driving for Quality and automation● Role models Aloha spirit (e.g. diversity, respect, care, giving back to communities,shows courage to tell the truth, seeks others perspectives and confidence/enthusiasm)Desired Skills/Experience● Experience with solutions on Salesforce products/platform technologies.● Experience implementing and supporting SaaS based applications.● Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent is desired, Masters would bepreferred.
