T he Team:

A part of Ratings Technology, the Ratings QA team leads the IT organization in the delivery of trusted quality to our users. From a foundation of disciplined processes, QA seeks out innovative testing solutions, reliable & transparent test execution, and aspires towards continuous improvement in achieving top quality. In close partnership with Product Management and Product Engineering, QA team members help drive quality accountability, and work to ensure our end users receive reliable, stable, defect free products, which help confidently execute our business and elevate our products.

   As a QA Lead, you will make a key contribution in building solutions to test applications across Web/Windows/API/Services platforms and framing efficient data validations. Your challenge will be reducing the “time to market” for products without compromising quality, by leveraging automation and innovation. You will use a wide range of technologies and can interact with different internal teams

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design and strategize test planning, test execution for the allocated products and ensure proper implementation of QA processes.

  • Aid in the development of new products, services, or technologies

  • Understand technology processes and initiatives and guide scrum teams with implementation

  • Understand test automation framework and guide teams to build test automation coverage for allocated products

  • Mentor and guide identified QA resources if needed

  • Has advanced knowledge of QA /technology processes and product knowledge.

  • Solve a range of routine to complex problems and determine possible solutions, weighing the costs and benefits

  • Provide solutions to various technology problems with minimal oversight for the allocated products working with scrum teams

  • Collaborate with team members within allocated teams and outside independently and resolve problems

  • Work within own team and other teams, provide guidance as needed

  • Network with senior internal and external personnel in area of expertise

  • Contribute to the achievement of team objectives

  • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation

  • Follows Agile best practices and adheres to the Scrum framework

  • Identifies and escalates risks to the Scrum Master (or manager and other stakeholders as needed)

  • Develops a standard method for QA by articulating and mitigating quality risks for sprints and releases

  • Leverages agile metrics data and provides insight and guidance

  • Document test results and lead defect management

  • Produce status reports and metrics related to the testing process

What We’re Looking For

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of software testing experience in all phases of testing including test planning, test execution and test closure.

  • Excellent understanding of QA and testing methodologies, best practices

  • 3+ years of experience as an Automation QA Tester

  • 3+ years of experience creating, maintaining, and executing automation tests utilizing tools such as Selenium required (Python essential)

  • 4+ Years of experience in Agile processes (Scrum preferred)

  • 3+ years of experience of working with REST service and understanding of SOA architecture.

  • 2+ years of experience of API Automation.

  • Experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks preferred.

  • Exposure to distributed source control systems such as Git.

  • Exposure of DevOps techniques and configuration preferred.

  • Experience with test data management techniques.

  • Experience with Team management activities.

  • Experience with change management and defect tracking tools

  • A great problem-solver with a knack to crack toughest challenges

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and written communications

  • High standards of confidentiality; ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and trust

  • Zeal to be domain expert and learn new technologies

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS/Azure and experience of testing micro-services, containers, Dockers is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • Experience in Performance tools like Load runner and Aternity.
