JOB OVERVIEW

Martinfed is seeking a fulltimeSignal Processing/Software Development Engineer - The candidate will support implementation and development of digital signal processing of Ultra-Wide Bandwidth software defined radio (SDR) systems utilizing open standards such as VITA 49.2 and SOSA, and define guidance for future development and standardization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee the Development and integration of digital signal processing algorithms across heterogeneous hardware platforms (CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, FPGAs, etc.) for SDR systems
  • Generate software development roadmaps/strategies and cost estimates forRFintensive systems
  • Test and evaluation engineering ofRFsystems
  • Oversee and define requirements for software development activities associated withRFsignal collection and analysis
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and standards for use in SDR systems
  • Countermeasures and vulnerability analysis forRFsystems

QUALIFICATIONS

  • GPU/GPGPU programming experience (using OpenCL, CUDA, etc.)
  • Experience developing technical reports and presentations
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience integrating and troubleshooting complex hardware/software intensive systems
  • Experience modeling and using modeling tools (using CAMEO)

DESIRED QUALIFCATIONS

  • FPGA development experience (VHDL)
  • RFSoC development experience
  • Familiarity with VITA 49.2 or Modular Open Radio Frequency Architecture (MORA)
  • Experience using and developing transmit/receive algorithms for software defined radios (such as X-MIDAS, GNU Radio, Redhawk, Matlab, VITA 49/MORA)
  • Experience with design and/or testing ofRFdevices and communication systems
  • Experience developing systems for military applications (e.g. avionics, GPS, EW, Communications)
  • Familiarity with communication protocols used in militaryRFcommunication systems
  • Experience with developing countermeasures againstRFcommunications systems (jamming, spoofing, replay attacks, etc.)
  • Familiarity working with test and measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers and logic analyzers
  • Familiarity with security features associated withRFcommunication systems
  • Experience working with the U.S. government, including in the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community
  • Experience with airworthiness qualification of hardware and software avionics components
  • Active SECRET clearance
