Title: Vision Systems Technician I (Electrode)

Reports to: Vision Systems Manager

Location: Holland, MI

Technicians: Starting pay ranging from $23 to $28 per hour

Summary: This position manages, analyzes and improves vision systems that are computer- or vision-controller-based. This role focuses on software analysis and hardware maintenance and will work with precision using various tools to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and analyze vision systems programs provided by vendors for optimal functionality

  • Perform actual measurement of electrode using various tools including microscopes

  • Document and analyze root causes of software and hardware system failures

  • Track system logs daily for performance monitoring and maintenance

  • Demonstrate understanding of computer components and functionalities (e.g., Graphics drives, CPU, Power Supply, RAM)

  • Manage and track electronic wiring systems

  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization

  • Completes all safety training as required

  • Compliance with all ELS safety programs, policies, and procedures

  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

  • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain

  • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container

  • Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area

  • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required

  • Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience

    Experience:

  • 1 to 3+ years of related machining experience or equivalent, relevant experience

    Skills:

  • Technically proficient and motivated to continuously improve

  • MS Office Suite

    Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours

  • Safety glasses

  • Steel-toed shoes

  • Latex Gloves

  • Nitrile Gloves

  • Respirator

  • Must be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours up to 7 days a week

  • Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds

  • Stoop, twist, bend

  • Reach overhead

  • Sit and/or stand
