As a Oregon Site Technology Development Environmental Manager

your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage a team of EHS engineers that support a large, multi-site, high-

tech manufacturing facility with co-located operational semiconductor

facilities and ongoing construction.

  • Ensure the team's work product is accurate and compliant with all

laws, regulations, and appropriate standards.

  • Oversee the production of EHS reports, statistics, and key leading and

lagging performance indicators.

  • Manage a team budget, seeking innovations or process improvements

to create efficiency.

  • Communicate environmental requirements to internal and external

project partners and collaborates with regulatory agencies,

environmental consultants, design engineers, legal teams, and project

managers to facilitate the permitting process and address

environmental concerns.

  • Deliver environmental permits, approvals, and plans to enable on-time

and compliant construction and operations.

  • Partner with the site businesses partners and stakeholders to ensure

compliance with all applicable environmental government requirements, Intel policies, and the site Environmental Management System (EMS) per the ISO 14001 standard.

  • Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, coordination,

monitoring, and services to ensure Intel complies with all regulatory

and permitting requirements and all Intel environmental regulations

and standards.

  • Advise Intel senior management on EHS-related technical issues and

recommend upgrades or changes in the facilities or business

processes.

  • Partner to develop procedures for the company in accordance with

guidelines and regulations issued in the jurisdictions of operation.

  • Maintain effective communication with employees, supervisors,

management, human resources, partner suppliers, and legal.

  • Monitor compliance with procedures and protocols and stays up to

date with any changes in the regulations/industry practices with

respect to all Environmental requirements.

  • Responsible for enabling teams to execute through precise goal setting,

facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated

performance management, and driving team results.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical, Environmental Engineering or Environmental Safety and Health or a related technical field.

  • 6+ years of relevant experience (environmental regulatory requirements and/or in environmental reporting and permitting).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • People management experience

  • Expertise in Federal and Oregon State environmental regulatory requirements

  • Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • Air, wastewater, and waste abatement and treatment processes

  • Experience with Title V and Clean Air Act permitting and requirements.

  • Experience managing and/or supporting community/public interactions and evaluating and managing environmental policy changes.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
