Starting rate $19.83/hr.
Monday through Friday, day shift, 40 hours per week.
18+ years old, diploma/GED required.
Your expertise in auto mechanics can truly make a difference for people with disabilities:
Repair agency vehicles, including buses, cars, vans, and SUVs
Ensure quality working conditions of all agency vehicles through preventative maintenance
Prepare vehicles for all NYS inspections
Perform internal inspections, keep accurate vehicle records, and update inventory
Fulfill NYS DMV and NYS DOT regulations for repairs and record-keeping
Collect & review daily driving logs and reports
Promptly complete any and all repairs noted on driver reports
Drive bus or vehicle as directed
Qualifications:
3 years professional experience with medium duty bus, truck chassis, including air brake, diesels, and gas engines
Section 720 & 721 of NYS DOT regulations preferred
Possess NYS inspection certification or obtain within 6 months of hire
Must possess NYS CLD Class B license or obtain within 6 months
Must have basic tools to perform maintenance of medium duty vehicles
