Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate various machines associated with the manufacturing process

• May be required to carry out manual production / packing operations.

• Accurately record information relating to scrap, downtime, and machine issues.

• Have a knowledge & understanding of shop orders

• Collection & checking of materials to be used in the production process

• Compliance with SOP’s / work instructions associated with each process

• Participate and conform to 5’s activities

• Completion of all relevant Safety and Quality Checks on Process and Product in accordance with Stanley Black and Decker Safety and Quality standards.

• Asset care of assigned machinery (Simple, routine machine checks and maintenance tasks)

• Any other reasonable tasks/duties to aid the efficient running of the

• department.

Working Conditions

• Hearing, Eye and safety footwear PPE to be worn at all times.

• Handling of oily and sometimes sharp components.

• Artificial light all day.

• Ambient Temperature can vary from Hot to Cold dependent upon the Position of Machinery and Time of Year.

• On feet majority of the day

• Lifting required

Safety of Others:

• Must have safety awareness and participate in ensuring the working environment is kept in a safe and clean condition.

Skill:

• Must have good understanding of English and Mathematics

• Must have a mechanical aptitude

• Mechanical apprenticeship in a FMCG environment would be advantageous but not essential

Experience Required:

• Previous experience of working in a production / fast paced manufacturing environment would be an advantage
