Construction General Laborer

Qualifications

• At least one (1) year experience in general laborer

• Must complete work accurately and follow all safety rules• Must be familiar with relevant hand and power tools• Able to work well in a team environment• Organized and self-motivatedPre-employment alcohol, drug testing, and a background is a condition of employment.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.• Must be willing to travel• Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.• Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.• Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.• Be reliable and practice good attendance• Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).• Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.)• Preference is provided to applicants who have served in the Armed Forces

Functional Requirements:

• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OSHA standards• Read and interpret drawings• Cut and shape materials, and join them with nails, screws, bolts, or glue• Check completed units to ensure they are level, square, plumb, the right size, shape, and location• Build and assemble concrete forms• Build and assemble shelters (for welding and other weather sensitive work)• Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings• May perform other duties as assigned
