Revvity Omics, a division of Revvity, is a clinical molecular and biochemical laboratory offering a variety of different screening and diagnostic testing options. From prenatal screening before birth to newborn screening shortly after birth and whole genome sequencing through one's lifetime. Our goal is to provide valuable and insightful information about potential underlying genetic conditions, guiding patients and providers to improved health outcomes.

OVERVIEW We are looking for an exceptional laboratory genetic counselor to provide laboratory and consultative genetic counseling services of the highest quality to our customers, including project management, variant analysis, report writing, communication of results, and education services.

KEY FOCUS AREAS Include but are not limited to: Communicate test results and testing processes to healthcare providers of diverse backgrounds. Management/Oversight of testing projects and samples on a client by client basis. Collect and review medical information required for variant and results interpretation. Assist in developing test report language and templates. Draft clinical test reports. Support the Director of Clinical Education in providing education to both internal (PKI) and external audiences. Participate in the research and development of new tests and updates to existing tests. Assist in the development of marketing and sales materials. Support client services department and respond to client requests as needed. Serve as subject matter experts needed. Assist in preparation of manuscripts. Participate in the medical genetics, genetic counseling, and/or patient advocacy communities. Additional tasks as required.

Basic Qualifications: Master's degree in genetic counseling from accredited genetic counseling program. Board eligible/Board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC).

Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communication skills (oral and written), attention to detail, problem-solving ability. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to critically read and interpret scientific literature. Ability to synthesize and present complex information in brief but clear summary. Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills. Professional phone and email etiquette. Self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude. Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies. Prior experience in a diagnostic laboratory, including clinical report writing and familiarity with human mutation databases, genome browsers, and HGVS nomenclature, is preferred but not required.
