Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Historic Bridge Program Manager (Historic Preservation Specialist) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As part of this position, you will be responsible for creating, assessing, and overseeing initiatives aimed at preserving historic bridges and other historic resources. Your tasks will include overseeing the adaptive use program for historic bridges, analyzing proposed legislation related to historic bridges and other historic resources that may affect the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. You will also be conducting research to identify innovative solutions that promote the preservation of historic bridges, preparing and reviewing technical reports, and evaluating the physical, economic, and social forces that affect historic bridges. Additionally, you will develop presentations to effectively communicate with various stakeholders such as commissions, boards, civil groups, planning boards, and the general public.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two or more years of experience working on an architectural survey, an architectural restoration and preservation project or program, and a bachelor's degree in architectural history, American history, art history or course work in Pennsylvania history; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
