DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will tend to various mail related tasks such as utilizing a mail cart to transport received mail from the mailroom to various bureau departments and other offices within the building, several times throughout the day.  You will receive FEDEX, UPS, and USPS packages for distribution to the bureau in addition to sorting incoming mail from US Mail, Labor & Industry, and courier/messenger services, and deliver those items to the appropriate work units.

You will operate a scanning device to upload forms into a computerized database and verify image quality is clear and legible.  In addition, you will index scanned documents to include obtaining and verifying information by searching Workers' Compensation Automation and Integration System (WCAIS) and attaching documents to the appropriate claims and completing accurate data entry.  This position also assists with purchasing supplies and services.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or

Graduation from high school; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

You must possess keyboarding skills to meet standards for speed and accuracy.
