Armed Services YMCA of The U S A 5 Star Food Market Stocker in Harker Heights, Texas
This position is a contract position
SUMMARY
Implements best practices/procedures in the 5 Star Food Market. Ensures the Best Practices are implemented and tracked. Responsible for ensuring that the food, supplies, and patrons are safe and secure at all times. Attend all ASYMCA training meetings, special events and staff meetings as requested. Must uphold and promote the ASYMCA mission by demonstrating the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinating food distribution to the public
Monitoring inventory, receive and restock food pantry and holding area
Place inventory orders with vendors timely and efficiently
Manage deadlines and progress across the program to ensure pantry is opening and closing on time
Ensure everything is recorded in Central Texas Food bank Database (CTFB) in a timely manner
Unload food trucks and pallets of the food supply
Follow all food safety regulations according to CTFB
Mandatory Certifications/Requirements:
Have basic knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
Basic knowledge of CTFB database software
Maintain Food Handlers certification in good standing
Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to sit; stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; twist; reach; set up ladders and scaffolding. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds.

Work Environment
The work environment is generally set in an office location, sometimes are required to be outside. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to exercise high levels of discretion and confidentiality
Able to make decisive, sound decisions
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with members of the public
