Description

SAIC is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for our customer site in Hanahan, SC . This position is 100% on- site.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: (Included but not limited to)

• Coordinate and expedite flow of material

• Assemble orders and preparing goods for shipment

• Recording shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability

• Receiving, unpacking materials/supplies and reporting damages and discrepancies for accounting

• Reimbursement and record keeping purposes; and completing shipping and receiving reports

• Move parts and assemblies within or between various buildings in accordance with Facility manager or facility staff engineer priorities

• Arrange transfer of materials to meet production schedules; examine material to verify type specified for current project; and compute amount of material needed for specific job orders

• Candidates will be trained on the use of a forklift, no experience necessary

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Be able to safely complete all of the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to the following:

• Lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis

• Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing or squatting for extended periods

• Walk distances of at least one-half mile daily

• Move and arrange heavy cable supplies and electronic equipment

• Valid US Driver’s license with REAL ID verification

CLEARANCE:

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Active DoD clearance accepted
