VectorCSP Scheduling Team Support in Hampton, Virginia

VectorCSP is looking for experienced Scheduling Team Support to assist in the scheduling of CAF forces IAW the AFFORGEN Model for worldwide contingency operations through the GFM and AEF construct. The Contractor shall provide appropriate support to the scheduling teams to ensure continuity and long-range planning expertise.

Job Summary:

The Scheduling Team Support position schedules the AEF for various contingency and operational training events, aligns AEF units to most effectively support contingencies, exercises, training events, and other aerial events within the ACC contract portfolio in accordance with VectorCSP's corporate vision: To be the dominant force for good in U.S. Government contracting.

Requirement:Active Secret Clearance is required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Graduate from a DoD Pilot, Navigator, or Air Battle Manager training course
  • Three years of operations experience at or above the Wing level
  • Two years of HQ staff experience at or above the MAJCOM level

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct studies to support scheduling the AEF for various contingency and operational training events, align AEF units to most effectively support contingencies, exercises, training events, and other aerial events.
  • Maintain appropriate databases and use the Consolidated Planning Schedule (CPS) to schedule units against validated requirements. Using CPS, align forces IAW AFFORGEN to support Combatant Commanders and contingency operations worldwide.
  • Assess combatant command operational plans (OPLANs) and conceptual plans (CONPLANs) for risks and recommend changes and sourcing solutions.
  • Assist with the development of the schedule using the HHQ Scheduling Construct and inter-MAJCOM agreements and coordinate it throughout the CAF Scheduling Integrated Product Team (SIPT) for approval.
  • Assist with the preparation of staff packages defining CAF scheduling issues and provide options as well as proposed courses of action to ACC leadership for their approval.
  • Assist with the preparation of and present briefings pertaining to the CAF exercise schedule, CAF alignment and AFFORGEN schedule.
  • Conduct analysis utilizing internet scheduling tools (e.g. Defense Readiness Reporting System [DRRS], and Joint Capabilities Requirements Manager [JCRM], Logbook) and other software to more efficiently align AF aviation units in support of contingencies, exercises and training events.
  • Advise ACC/A3O on how best to program, manage and schedule CAF forces to include fighter, bomber, C2ISR aircraft, and CSAR forces in support of deployment and employment in contingency operations, such as Operation SPARTAN SHIELD, Operation NOBLE EAGLE (ONE), the Global Response Force and the NATO Response Force.
  • Assist with the review, and revision of Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP), Global Force Management Implementation Guidance (GFMIG), Assignment Forces for Tables, Execution Orders (EXORDS), Quarterly Apportionment Tables and Directed Readiness Tables.Using CPS, advise ACC/A3O on how best to plan, schedule, and coordinate CAF aircraft for short-notice contingency events, command level training events and Joint/MAJCOM level exercises.
  • Assist with the coordination of operational issues with the Joint Staff, Air Staff, United States Air Forces Europe (USAFE), Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), Air Reserve Component (ARC) and Air National Guard (ANG) staffs.
  • Advise ACC/A3O on the management of the entire AEF scheduling process, integrating ACC and other CAF units with Combatant Command requirements, and obtain concurrence of all involved organizations for each new AEF schedule.
  • Review annual CAF Force Offering and determine ARC Man-Days required for execution.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

  • Use of the Consolidated Planning Schedule (CPS) to schedule units against validated requi ements and align forces IAW AFFORGEN to support Combatant Commanders and contingency operations worldwide.
  • Familiarization with the Air Staff, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, CAF organizations, and the ACC staff to assist with the formulation of future force requirements for weapon systems and air operational capabilities, to ensure that both Joint and Service requirements are met.
  • Advise ACC/A3O on the integration of new weapons system capabilities into the AEF Schedule while maintaining the operational capability and combat effectiveness for each AEF period.
  • Advise and assist with AEF scheduling process, ACC and CAF integration into Combatant Command requirements, Annual Force offering presentation, new weapons system integration, and Operational Plan effectiveness.
