CLEVELAND-CLIFFS STEEL CORPORATION Procurement Analyst in Hamilton, Ohio

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Procurement Analyst at either our Cleveland Headquarters or our West Chester regional office for our Scrap Metal Procurement Group. The ideal candidate will be able to aid with order entry, research, data collection, and analysis required to support the supply chain management of the raw materials purchasing department. Summary of Responsibilities: Process monthly/quarterly purchase orders and maintain data worksheets for respective orders. Collecting and analyzing raw data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies and other information relatively to the business objectives. Assist the department in performing inventory balancing, strategic sourcing, executing sales and procurement for assigned commodities across all US facilities. Support bidding, negotiating and implementing national sourcing and sales forecasts for assigned commodities. Perform RFQ's and Sales Agreements for assigned commodities. Assist Buyers and Managers with issues involving supplier orders, missed tickets or delayed payments. Work closely with Operations, Logistics, Procurement and other business divisions within the organization to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of the purchase and drive revenue received. Perform detailed analysis (supply-demand analysis, price-value analysis, etc.) to evaluate alternative sourcing and sales strategies. Aid in the identification and development of new suppliers and consumers of assigned commodities. Create and manage existing supplier and consumer metrics to drive consistent shipments, quality and savings. Aid in developing annual savings targets and reporting results versus the business plan. Become the primary departmental support for internal and external quality documents, procedures, etc. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of relevant analytical experience Proficient in Microsoft 365 Products especially Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, etc.; knowledge of Tabware, Oracle, Hyperion, Power BI or Axiom is a plus Ability to define problems, collect & analyze data, establish facts and draw conclusions Must possess high ethical standards and the ability to work within our Company's Code of Ethics and Business Policies Ability to build rapport with others in the work environment Ability to understand Legal aspects of Procurement Travel Requirements less than 10% Preferred Qualifications: BS or BA in Business, Finance, Economics or another business-related field Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at managing conflict to resolution, detail oriented and willingness to advance within the department Sound logical, analytical, and quantitative skills Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment - an understanding of the steelmaking processes and raw materials is a plus Must have effective verbal and written communication skills Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
