As a Mechanical Engineer at Microwave Products Group - Pole/Zero Corporation in West Chester, OH, you will support the military community by contributing to the design efforts for electro-mechanical packaging of radio frequency (RF) devices. You will utilize CAD to design, evaluate, and solve packaging, thermal, and stress challenges for electronic hardware assembly. Primary Responsibilities of this position include: Design high performance mechanical assemblies and support production of designs by production teams. Produce and maintain the documentation related to the mechanical aspects of a design Support research and investigation to determine the root cause analysis of mechanical failures on products. Support new program proposal efforts including technical interchange with potential customers. Support and aid in the development of multiple mechanical designers Knowledge, skills and abilities strongly preferred include: Experience in thermal and structural analysis, and electro-mechanical packaging required Experience using thermal and stress analysis software is required General knowledge of MIL-STD testing is required Knowledge of thermal and mechanical test equipment is preferred Must have excellent written and verbal skills Must be able to effectively and efficiently communicate with other departments, including manufacturing, quality and management Requirements Include: Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years of relevant experience OR MS in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university and 3+ years of relevant experience Experience with 3D CAD software required Experience with military standards and specifications required Experience with military electro-mechanical enclosure designs highly desired ISO and lean manufacturing experience highly desired Must be able to communicate effectively with the customer (both internal and external), both in verbal and written formats Benefits Include: Annual incentive plan (bonus) Paid vacation and sick time Up to 10 paid holidays/year (based on schedule worked) 4 hours voluntary time off to volunteer for your favorite charity Health, dental, and vision insurance, subject to applicable premium deductions Short-term and long-term disability insurance - 100% company paid Other ancillary insurance options available 401(k) retirement account with matching MPG contributions & profit sharing (if applicable) Profit Sharing Plan - potential up to 3% of base salary Educational Reimbursement up to $5,250 per year Gym membership reimbursement up to $120 per year Work Arrangement : Onsite Salary Range : - We consider several job-related, non-discriminatory factors when determining the pay rate for a position, including, but not limited to, the position's responsibilities, a candidate's work
