Actalent is hiring an Engineer that has physical substation design experience (5+ years) to join one of top engineering companies in the country to support utility projects in the region. This is a hybrid role, 3 days in the Hamilton, NJ office and 2 days remote.

Substation Detailed Bill of Material

Substation Lightning Stroke Shielding Plan

Substation Grounding Plan

Substation Conduit, Electrical Connection and Grounding Details

Substation Below Grade Conduit/Raceway Plan

Control Building Equipment, Cable Tray, Lighting, Grounding Plans and Section

Interpreting and incorporating vendor information into design deliverables

Performing walkdowns at client facilities

Skills:

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVES:

5+ years of physical substation design

Section views (elevations)

substation detailed Bill of materials

Proficient with AutoCAD and MicroStation

Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models

Experience supporting any of the utilities listed above
