At HATCH, Rail Infrastructure Group, our main areas of expertise cover all aspects of track design (alignment, profile, sub-ballast, track), signaling and rail communications, as well as all aspects of rail structures.

Every day, we help people get to their destinations safely and reliably through the design, construction, operation, maintenance and rehabilitation of railroads and related infrastructure. We offer integrated, multidisciplinary technical expertise for the design, construction and operation of new transportation infrastructures.

HATCH is currently seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee small and large-scale design and construction projects in railway projects. The role of the site supervisor is to ensure that the work carried out by construction on the site, and by the builder's quality control and quality assurance (QC and QA), conforms to the drawings and specifications (latest revision) issued by the designers. He will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring the smooth running of the worksite.

Your challenges with us:

• Provide technical support to construction activities and perform spot supervision of work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

• Ensure compliance with designer's processes and procedures.

• Coordinate design team support for specific construction needs.

• Perform coordination and supervision of work, inspection of rail systems and construction support.

• Manage and respond to technical design questions submitted by manufacturers, subcontractors and suppliers.

• Follow up on shop drawings and material approval requests (MARs) reviewed by the design team.

• Identify and/or validate responses to design and quality non-conformance reports (where applicable).

• Prepare project progress reports, evaluate the performance of contractors and construction managers through periodic inspections, and provide daily supervision.

• Assist in the preparation of final drawings; - Coordinate installation work.

• Maintain site logs.

• Participate actively in site meetings.

• Submit and prepare lists of construction-related non-conformities.

• Manage, coordinate and resolve issues arising on site.

Your profile:

• Diploma in civil engineering an asset

• Be COR certified

• Minimum 2 to 10 years relevant railway experience

• Knowledge of AREMA (American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association) and its recommended practices an asset

• Good knowledge of railway and civil worksites

• Bilingualism in French is an asset
