Job Overview:
The Instrumentation Designer provides solutions to problems in the Instrumentation Design discipline without supervisory approval and will evaluate and select solutions from established operating procedures and/or scientific procedures.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Sound knowledge of Instrument & Control Systems design activities & deliverables including hookups, 3D modelling, layouts and plan drawings, wiring & loop drawings, telecom design, MTOs etc.
Good command of English (both verbal and in writing).
Experience with the use of Instrument Database applications (SPI and / or Aveva)
Experience with use of 2D CAD applications e.g AutoCAD, Microstation, SmartSketch
Experience with use of 3D modelling in S3D (additional PDMS/E3D experience preferred)
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Diploma in Instrumentation or equivalent;
Good command of English (both verbal and in writing)
Hands-on experience in EPC project execution in the Oil & Gas contracting industry
Experience 14- 22 years
Good Communication skills, team player
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint & Word
Able to deal with resistance, Meet deadlines and is able to handle changing needs and requirements
Demonstrate understanding of procedures
Actively develop more FEED and EPC knowledge
