About the position:
We’re looking for a Strategic Sourcing Sub-Contract Manager to successfully transition products and processes, from the various Raymond Manufacturing operations to qualified external sources who can provide flex capacity necessary to support Raymond’s continued growth.
The Sub-Contract Manager will work closely with Operations, Materials, Production Control and Strategic Sourcing to ensure supply base execution in support of production requirements. This role will also coordinate extensively with IT, Finance and Manufacturing Engineering to confirm availability and effectiveness of necessary toolsets at external sources to ensure success.
Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Sourcing, the responsibility for Supplier performance on Costing, Delivery and Quality will be centralized. Working in conjunction with Strategic Sourcing, this individual will work to administer strategies for these external sources that complement the Commodity Strategies already in place or in development. This individual will develop appropriate business review processes and KPIs to ensure visibility and supplier execution.
The Sub-Contract Manager ensures that all required contracts, cost records, material certifications, invoices and other required production documents are maintained in accordance with Raymond requirements and in conjunction with the Supplier subcontracting agreement. Responsibilities of this role are as follows but not limited to:
- Identify candidate Suppliers in conjunction with Strategic Sourcing.
- Audit and verify capability in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance.
- Negotiate and finalize Sub-Contract agreements, with approval of Director of Strategic Sourcing.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of Logistics strategies for the material movement related to Sub-Contract agreements, alongside the Director of Logistics.
- Monitor performance and administer corrective actions as needed.
- Address all other process issues of a given program as the central point of responsibility and liaise with the external supply chain.
About you:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field preferred (Supply Chain, Business)
- 5-8 Years related work experience required.
- NAPM Certified Purchasing Manager preferred.
- Experience in Operations Management preferred.
- Experience in Supply Chain Management preferred.

About the total compensation package:
Salary - $63,300 - $81,000 per year. Compensation commensurate with candidate’s experience.
Relocation - This position may qualify for relocation.
