We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Utilities Manager. As the Utilities Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our high-voltage division.
Responsibilities: - Oversee the day-to-day operations of the high-voltage power line division, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies - Manage a team of apprentices and supervisors, providing guidance and training - Develop and implement maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize the lifespan of high-voltage power line equipment - Coordinate with other departments and external contractors to schedule and execute maintenance, repairs, and upgrades - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with quality standards - Work closely with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and permits - Prepare and manage budgets for the high-voltage power line division, ensuring cost-effective operations - Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field (Not required but preferred) - Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing high voltage power line operations - Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards related to high voltage power lines - Proven leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and drive performance - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strong attention to detail - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders - Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other necessary computer programs - Experience in project estimation
