Job Summary:
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and oversight of all administrative, clinical, and service functions of assigned clinical staff. Additional responsibilities include fostering relationships with community resources, supervising interns in coordination with other supervisors, and evaluating the performance of clinical staff
Essential Responsibilities and Metrics:
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise and evaluate the performance of clinical staff, assuring staff compliance with productivity requirements, assessments, and notes
Supervise interns and work with other supervisors in helping train and orientate students to Josselyn procedures and policies. Work to effectively ensure all staff understand Josselyn policies and procedures
Monitor and approve clinical staff work and vacation schedules such that the needs of the Center are covered
Be available to handle crisis requests for clinical and front office staff
Be available to coordinate intake functions, when Intake coordinator is unavailable
Work effectively with other supervisors
Foster relationships with community resources and participate usefully in community related activities
Participate cooperatively in performance improvement activities, committee work, when requested, mandatory in-services
Represent the Center with integrity, abide by the ethical statement of the Center and protect confidentiality
Maintain 30% direct service productivity and caseload of 10-15 clients after 4 months onboarding period
Proficiency with confidentiality, client rights, safety, and infection control, incident and sentinel event reporting and personnel policies
Organizational Responsibilities
Help onboard staff and interns
Train staff on CIS functionality and be a resource when issues arise
Participate in community-related services as appropriate
Represent the agency with integrity and professionalism
Abide by the ethical statement of the agency
Responsible for managing clinical staff schedule, payroll, performance management and employee development goals
Qualifications:
Licensed for independent clinical practice in the State of Illinois in mental health or related field
Demonstrate competence in interdisciplinary and inter-agency collaboration
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive and successful clinical supervision experience preferable in an outpatient mental health setting
Demonstrated administrative, supervisory, and organizational skills
Advanced oral and written communication skills
Ability to think critically and analytically and to problem solve in both short and long term contexts
Working knowledge of best practices in clinical counseling in the field of mental health
