Position Description

The Department of Management of the Rohrer College of Business invites applications for a Lecturer, which is a fullĀ­time, non-tenure track, renewable faculty teaching position, to begin September 1, 2024. We seek candidates who are passionate about teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate level. In addition to teaching responsibilities, successful candidates will be required to make meaningful and substantive service contributions. Successful candidates will also be expected to participate in professional development to stay current in their content area.

This 10-month faculty position is non-tenure track but offer renewable multi-year contracts. The position requires a teaching load of 24 credit hours per academic year with the opportunity to teach overload courses for additional compensation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities for this position include teaching undergraduate courses in business law including Legal Environment of Business and Legal Aspects of Human Resource Management, mentoring students, engaging in service, attending monthly departmental and college meetings, and fully participating in departmental activities. Courses may be offered in-person and online. Candidates must be available for day and evening classes. Candidates must have current professional experience substantial in terms of duration and level of responsibility which is linked to the field of management.

Requirements include a JD and prior teaching experience at the college level.
