Broking Manager, Penang

What the day will look like

1) Review client files regularly, analyze and identify scope of cover required and check adequacy of existing cover

2) Ensure all documentation is appropriately filed

3) Ensure that all quotations, insurance summaries and billings are correct and complete before releasing to insurer and clients/prospects

4) Respond to non-routine and complex enquiries

5) Follow-up with insurers on policy documents, check policy to ensure it matches with the coverage confirmed to client, notify insurer of any discrepancies and follow-up on their amendment

6) Ensure full compliance with company’s internal policies and procedures as well as the local insurance regulatory requirements at all times

7) Make clients aware of the premium warranty due date and cash-before-cover regulations and closely follow-up with clients on premium collections

8) Develop new business from existing and new potential clients with revenue target

9) Ensure that the Team Leader is kept informed of all pertinent issues or problems

10) Ensure that responses/reporting to producing office or client’s HQ are executed within the required timeframe for AGCN inbound clients

11) Ensure that GAMS are updated in a timely manner for AGCN inscope clients

12) Monitor, guide and counsel all support personnel including on the job training to upgrade their knowledge and skills

13) Ensure optimum cover is provided to clients at best possible rate from insurers

14) Lead and monitor day to day operations and ensure client’s insurance requirements and needs are handled efficiently and competently

15) Delegate work to subordinates and supervise assigned tasks to juniors where necessary

16) Ensure the prompt preparation and submission of all required monthly reports/updates to Team Leader or Head of Department

17) Actively involved in non-routine and complex claims and coordinate/work closely with Claims Department to settle claims efficiently and satisfactorily for client

    Client Management

  • Lead and manage a team servicing the global multinational clients, large and medium size local corporate clients

  • Responsible for leading and guiding team members to provide a high level and professional broking servicing standards to meet customer’s expectation in relation to the day-to-day delivery

  • Responsible for department budget and performance

  • Support in business development initiatives

    Data Management

  • Ensure clients’ data and information is accurate and updated on timely manner.

  • Ensure all clients’ and insurer documentation and correspondences are kept in the designated file/folder for future reference.

  • Ensure all renewal documentation, i.e. policy/cover note/hold cover confirmation are sent to the clients on timely manner according to the guidelines.

    Coaching

  • Guide and coach new team members in H&B work process, procedures and compliances as well as on certain technical aspects of the EB policies.
