Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The Department of Antibody Discovery and Protein Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to assist with the development of next-generation AAV platforms for targeted tissue/organ delivery of life-changing medicine. The ideal candidate should be a highly productive bench scientist who will contribute to the development of novel AAV technology for enhanced targeted delivery, increased transduction efficiency, and improved safety profile.

Essential Requirements:

  • Associate Scientist I : Bachelor’s Degree in virology, molecular biology, immunology, or other related field with 6+ years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree in virology, immunology, cell-biology, or other related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Associate Scientist II : Master’s Degree in virology, immunology, cell-biology, or other related field with 6+ years of relevant experience or Ph.D with<1 year of post-doctoral relevant experience.

  • Strong Molecular Biology skill set.

  • Independently motivated, detail oriented and good problem-solving ability.

  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and perform in a fast-paced, matrix-structured work environment.

  • Great teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Good multi-tasking, time management and organizational skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working with and knowledge of AAV gene therapy vectors

  • Experience in working with animal models

  • Strong experience with mammalian cell culture techniques

  • Experience with viral vector and viral propagation

  • Ability to independently design experiments, interpret data and communicate to stakeholders
