DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Corrections Food Service Instructor, you will assign, participate in, and review tasks performed by inmates in the areas of preparation, production, service, and baking. You will ensure proper control over inmates by enforcing custody and security regulations, as well as inspecting all food service areas, equipment, and food for conformance with safety and sanitation standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40-hour work week. Work hours are TBD - Rotating Shifts - Sunday through Saturday This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,753.00 (before taxes). Two years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or in a similar large-scale food production operation; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
