Responsibilities:

  • Software Development Lifecycle: Engage in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including application design, development, and implementation of large-scale, highly available applications.

  • Technical Leadership: Collaborate closely with the architect to define technical roadmaps, provide design governance, and establish technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms.

  • Solution Proposals: Evaluate product requirements and propose solutions aligned with the product's vision and technology roadmap, ensuring they meet long-term enterprise growth needs.

  • Documentation and Governance: Complete appropriate documentation for technical designs, processes, engineering, and project decisions, ensuring adherence to established standards.

  • Innovation and Research: Research and implement new technologies and solutions to enhance current processes, security, and performance, leading proof-of-concept initiatives to explore new ideas.

  • Team Collaboration and Mentoring: Mentor and coach team members on architecture design, development, build, deployment, and maintenance of systems, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, identify and implement solutions, and collaborate with the production operations department to ensure smooth deployments and customer support.

  • Extended Support: Be available to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, as needed to support operational requirements.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience delivering SDLC solutions using methodologies such as ITIL, Agile, or XP.

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience delivering SDLC solutions using methodologies such as ITIL, Agile, or XP.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.

  • Experience in the relevant industry, particularly with specific business processes and supporting technologies.

Skills, Licenses, & Certifications:

  • Proficiency in Kubernetes, Java SE/EE, Spring, and other relevant technologies.

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and microservices architecture.

  • Familiarity with software configuration management/build processes and DevOps methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Top 3-5 Skills:

• Cloud Experience (Kubernetes): Demonstrated proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly Kubernetes, with the ability to architect and deploy scalable solutions in cloud environments.

• Microservices (Java, Springboot): Strong background in microservices architecture, with expertise in Java, Springboot, and related frameworks, enabling the development of modular and scalable applications.

• Focus on Security (Vulnerabilities, Secure Coding Practices): Deep understanding of security vulnerabilities and best practices, with a commitment to implementing robust security measures throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

• Mentoring/Team Lead Experience: Proven experience in mentoring and leading teams, fostering a culture of learning and growth while driving technical excellence and delivering high-quality solutions.
