RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Product Development Specialist learns the inner workings, features and functions of our Point of Sale hardware and software products.
Support products for internal and external customers
Test new products before they are introduced to the market
Subject matter expert who shares knowledge and assists in troubleshooting errors
Implement and support products, provide product documentation, interact with cross-functional departments and customers
Possess analytical skills, communication skills, self-motivated, and detail oriented
Acquire technical information from vendors as required
Plan and develop test programs for new products
Prepare product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market
Identify problems with terminal application features and functionality and document any software bugs or issues
Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
Produce documentation on all new products and trains internal departments on the new products
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in related field AND 2 years of relevant experience; OR HS/GED and 6 years relevant experience
Ability to analyze vast amounts of data to ensure efficiencies is maintained.
Must be 18 years of age or older
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s and 2 years relevant experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as with a team
Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
Strong time management and customer relationship skills
Must be self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and computer skills
Must have a high level of integrity and work ethic
