Kforce Network Administrator in Fort Worth, Texas

Kforce has a client in Fort Worth, Texas (TX), seeking a Network Administrator. This is a contract opportunity. Summary: The Network Administrator is responsible for supporting and managing the networks, telephones, security and other infrastructure critical to the day to day operations of LPS. This includes the design, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of firewalls, switches, routers, wireless equipment, Active Directory, DNS, MPLS, Internet, VoIP phone system, antivirus, patch management, network security, security tools as well as other network infrastructure and application components for both a virtual and physical environment. One responds and prevents data breaches and cyberattacks and maintains IT security solutions for the organization. The successful candidate should also have a deep working knowledge of Windows server operating systems and virtualization platforms for installation, configuration, maintenance and monitoring.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assure that appropriate process documentation is created and coordinated with the rest of the IT team to maintain consistency regardless of geography

  • Contributes to policy and procedure standards

  • Firewall configuration and administration

  • Telephone configuration and administration

  • Configure and support local and wide-area networks in a complex environment

  • Assists in Disaster Recovery planning and testing

  • Evaluates and recommends the purchase of solutions to fit the business needs

  • Use tools and methodologies to image, load, copy and/or customize Windows operating system configurations for deployment

  • Provides backup support and assistance to the System Administrators as needed for both Windows physical and VMware environments

  • Aggregating and correlating alerts from highly distributed networks and systems into a SIEM or analytics tool to provide context, environmental awareness, baselines, and root cause analysis

  • BA/BS in Information Systems or Computer Science degree or related experience and/or training; or equivalent experience

  • Microsoft/Network certifications are a plus, Security certifications or CISSP are a plus

  • Minimum of 5 years administration experience with switches, routers and firewalls

  • Minimum 5 years of networking experience

  • Minimum of 3 years design experience with LAN/WAN environment

  • Minimum 3 years of Fortinet firewall administration

  • Minimum of 2 years of administration with an IP or cloud based Telephone platform

  • Minimum of 2 years Windows server operating systems

  • Minimum of 2 years VMware virtualization experience

  • Expert level of Fortinet Virtual firewalls specifically in Microsoft Azure environments

  • Expert level working knowledge of Fortinet firewalls

  • Expert in Azure migrations/administration

  • Expert in O365 migrations/administration

  • Working knowledge of enterprise tools and principles (service desk ticketing, change control, security practices, etc)

  • Proficient knowledge and skills in switches, routers and firewalls

  • Extensive knowledge with TCP/IP protocols and principles

  • Familiarity with VoIP and/or Cloud based telephone system concepts and administration

  • Advanced knowledge of network design, router and switch configurations

  • Knowledge of attack vectors (malware, web application, social engineering, etc)

  • Active Directory and DNS administration

  • Windows Server Operating Systems

  • VMware ESX Virtualization platform

Other Requirements:

  • Must have valid driver's license

  • Healthcare and/or Pharmacy Platform knowledge is a plus
