Kforce Data Center Design Engineer VII in Fort Knox, Kentucky

Kforce is immediately adding a full time Data Center Design Engineer VII to our team in support of our enterprise technology solutions client in Fort Knox, Kentucky (KY). Our client is an end-to-end services company providing information technology and consulting services to businesses and governments.Essential Job Functions:

  • Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software

  • Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications

  • Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements

  • Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software

  • Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms

  • Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements

  • Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management

  • Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools

  • Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements

  • Acts as team leader on projects

  • Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team

  • Participates in development of software user manuals

  • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments

  • Plans and leads major technology assignments

  • Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success

  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments

  • May supervise others

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent work experience

  • Security certification

  • Minimum of five years of development experience

  • Experience working on an Agile development team highly preferred

  • Computing Environment certification such as (Oracle Certified Developer) highly preferred

  • Experience with Army Recruiting and/or Military Human Resources Capital Management highly preferred

  • Experience using web technologies like Oracle Business Intelligence, Web Services, and micro services

  • Application development foundation and general analytical skills

  • Understanding of object oriented programming and development

  • Strong written and verbal communications

  • Ability to work in small, rapid-development teams in a fluid environment
